First Holy Communion

When children have already begun their spiritual journey, with the help of their parents, many look forward to receiving Holy Communion for the first time, a sacred moment in the life of a young Catholic. Baptized Catholics reaching the age of seven are also ready to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time as well. As children prepare for Holy Communion, they are given the opportunity to go to confession. Our First Reconciliation – First Holy Communion Preparation Program is meant to strengthen the faith and relationship of children and their parents as they prepare and discuss their faith throughout the program.

 

For children in grades 2-4, preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion takes place at the parish.

Semester One

Wednesdays 6-7pm -  8 weekly sessions     (Oct. 15th to Dec. 10th)

Saturdays 11am-12pm -  8 weekly sessions   (Oct. 18th to Dec. 13th)

 

Parent Retreat:   

Sat. Nov. 1st or 8th (registration required)

 

First Reconciliation Service:   

Sat. Dec. 6th at 11 am

 

First Communion Mass: 

Tue. Jan. 13th at 6pm - St. Teresa of Calcutta CES, and Public School Children

Sat. Jan. 17th at 11am - St. James CES

Wednesdays 6-7pm  -  8 weekly sessions    (Jan. 7th to Mar. 4th)

Saturdays 11am-12pm  -  8 weekly sessions   (Jan. 10th to Mar. 7th)
